Old Trolley Tours

Old Trolley Tours offers the quintessential tour experience. If you are looking for a comprehensive and broad view of the city (with some good multiple-day transportation to boot), this is the best option for you.

Tours are come-and-go. This basically means that you can drop off and jump on as you see fit throughout the day, getting glimpses of the local history and attractions as you see the city. Passes can provide you up to two days of unlimited re-boarding and transportation. Tickets for the train also provide you with free admission to local attractions, like the St. Augustine History Museum and Alligator farm shuttle.

Old Trolley Tours is live and offered by informed and knowledgeable locals. Learn the secrets of the city with the after-dark tour, where special stops include the Old Jail and other local haunts.

Ghost Tours of St. Augustine

Speaking of ghosts, some tours are especially spooky. While Old Town Trolleys offers a haunted tour, real ghost and haunt enthusiasts should opt for the Ghosts and Gravestones St. Augustine trolley adventure. Taking it up a notch-or two- this tour takes you to the ancient graveyard at the end of St. George St, the Old Jail, and perhaps the city’s most authentically haunted site- the St. Augustine Lighthouse.

Unearth the darker side of St. Augustine. St. Augustine ghost tours are about 90 minutes and begin at nightfall each night. Hear unnerving true stories, learn how to spot orbs, and see exactly what St. Augustine history is hiding in Flagler College.

St. Augustine Distillery

Forget the ghosts. Drop the afternoon sightseeing. For some, it’s all about a good glass of something hard. St. Augustine Distillery is a local treasure- a reimagination of a 100-year-old ice plant turned into a community-led distillery.

On this free tour, guests will see the entire distilling process, from the very early stages of making the alcohol to the barrel aging. Guests will end the approximately 30-minute tour with a sample of their current offerings, which will likely include vodka, gin, or rum.

Whetstone Chocolate Factory Tour

While every tour offers something special, few can argue with the sweet and saccharine magic of the Whetstone Chocolate Factory Tour. This tour takes you from the shop to the factory, with all the little splashes of chocolate-coated fun in between. The tour begins with a quick instructional video. Tour guests will have all appropriate PPE gear, including a hair net. Small groups will form along the chocolate line as sweets are dropped along the conveyor belts.

Of course, no chocolate tour is complete without a taste- or ten! All guests will have an opportunity to taste an assortment of flavors currently being dished up. You may get a sampling of white, dark, caramel, and/or coconut, to name a few.

The tour is about 45 minutes long. There are multiple locations in the city, but the factory sits at 129 King St. It is open every day from 9:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
