Whimsical Treetop Hideaway, Near Beach and Town!

Experience Crescent Beach the way the natives do at Treetop Beach Cottage, our cozy cottage is just 3 blocks from the beach. With plenty of parking, yards and decks for grilling and playing, and all the comforts of home, it's destined to become your favorite vacation retreat! It is like vacationing in a treehouse, you are up in the trees that offer you so much shade and privacy after a perfect day at the beach,

As you might guess from its whimsical name, Treetop Beach Cottage is designed for comfort and laid-back beach ease. We just know you're going to love it here! The living and dining area is open and pleasant, with a big front window over the sink that opens to a screened in deck, one of three decks the home boasts. After a long day at the beach, it's bliss to sink into our cozy denim couch or one of the two comfy chairs and watch a movie on our large mounted flat screen TV while the kids arrange all the day's treasures -- shells, sharks' teeth -- along the coffee table . Our kitchen is open to the living area, so the cook stays in the action instead of being isolated in a separate room. There is an island table combination that is great for family meals or board games. Fitted with spotless appliances and attractive cabinetry, it's both convenient and very well-equipped. Make a grocery run on your way into town and you'll be fixed up for your whole stay, because we've got everything you need to prepare and serve a feast -- cookware, utensils, dishes and flatware, not to mention all the time-savers that get you out of the kitchen and back on the beach a little faster: a microwave, blender, mixer, coffeemaker, and dishwasher. Or visit the many fantastic restaurants in the area and not even use the kitchen, the choice is yours.

All of this togetherness is great during the waking hours, but when it's time to sleep, everyone wants quiet and privacy -- which is another reason you'll like our cottage. Our 2 bedrooms are designed to induce calm, restful thoughts, and you'll find yourself lingering in bed in the morning, enjoying the stillness and yes the trees. We also provide all of the linens, blankets, pillows, and towel sets you need for the house, plus a washer and dryer to keep them all -- and all your beach towels and vacation duds! -- fresh. Pack light and come as you are!

The master bedroom contains an ultra-luxurious king-sized bed with a private bathroom and a huge picture window that offers a view of the trees. The private bathroom has been renovated and offers a walk in shower.

The second bedroom offers a twin beds, a second bathroom is available equipped with a shower tub combination. The guest bedroom has its own sliding door, that opens to a private deck which offers a nice view of the tropical greenery outside, and easy access to the huge deck below for you to enjoy. Your deck is completely private and a great place to grill out or just sit and read for hours, there is even a bubbly fountain to top it off.

While you're at treetop Cottage, consider all the beach equipment yours to enjoy. We've got umbrellas beach chairs, coolers, mats, and sand toys aplenty -- everything you need for a perfect day at Crescent Beach. The grill is waiting for you, too, should you desire to play outdoor chef one evening!

If you want a beach vacation in a low-key family setting, come to Treetop Beach Cottage. You're just minutes from historic downtown St. Augustine, and 3 streets away from one of the best beaches in Florida. Once you've stayed here, we predict you'll be back every year.

Lovely, comfortable, well equipped home, with a lovely deck, patio and fire pit.

We loved everything about this home. It was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was remarkably well equipped. Our favorite feature was the patio fire pit, which made for very relaxing evenings. (Firewood is available at Publix.) We also appreciated the fact that the tv is equipped with Xfinity, Netflix, and Amazon Prime, the firmness of the beds, and the water pressure. The location is very convenient, and the neighbors were exceptionally friendly. Crescent beach is near by, as are a number of lovely restaurants. The home is not as large as it appears in the photos, but was perfect for the two of us. The property managers were very responsive to our requests. We recommend A1A Crab for stone crabs (carry out only) and the fresh shrimp at The Commander’s Shellfish Camp. We also enjoyed delicious dinners at Salt Life, the South Beach Grill (located right at Crescent Beach), The Commander’s Shellfish Camp, the Beachcomber, and the Oceanside Restaurant (in Flagler Beach). Also lovely are the beach and sunsets at the Matanzas River Inlet. This was our first visit to St. Augustine, and we already have made arrangements to return to St. A, and this home next year.

March 2018 - We thoroughly enjoyed our treetop hideaway, and would happily stay there on our next visit to St. Augustine. The privacy was wonderful, hidden in a veritable jungle of palm trees and other sheltering plants and trees. There were little surprises with flowers and landscaping in the front of our house, and the white lights circling our front porches lent warmth and charm in the evenings. Although the house was not clean when we arrived, a very efficient cleaning crew came the next day. The fully equipped kitchen was wonderful, and the generous living room area was exactly what we hoped to find. The furniture was comfortable and some pieces may have been antique as well as others that seemed refurbished in a most attractive way. I understand that some of the carpets will be replaced, and that is a good idea. As far as the lower deck and screened-in porch are concerned, we loved them! In the evenings, we enjoyed a glass of wine and an appetizer before dinner which we occasionally had at home. The restaurants and beach within a short drive were fabulous, and it was good to be on a dead end street. Our home was tranquil, comfy and just what we needed to enjoy our beautiful vacation.

February 2018 - The house is very nice and clean. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots and pans. Beach is only a few minutes away. I would definitely stay here again.

September 2017 - It is obvious the owners put a lot of care into this house. There are some nice touches such as the gate leg table and the China cabinet. The kitchen is beautiful. I love the cabinets and the doors for the washer and dryer. The bed in the master is big, fluffy and soft. Usually pillows in rentals reek but not here. I forgot my pillow and these smelled nice and clean. I really enjoyed the front porch. It was comfy and fairly cool when running the fan. It is only about a 3 minute drive to the beach. It doesn’t look great on the outside but don’t let appearances deceive you. The inside is lovely. We also got to meet the owner and he was very nice and accommodating.

July 2017 - When we arrived the house was very secluded. Like being in the jungle. The theme of the house being very marine was a nice touch. We had the most pleasant stay. It's was close to the beaches and to St. Augustine and just close to everything and made my family's vacation awesome like being at home away from home. We will surely come back to this house next year if all the dates worked out. Thank you very much for making our stay so wonderful. See you next year.... Johnny Patty Jake Trevor

June 2017 - We loved the tree house! Very quiet location yet so close to the beach and some great restaurants! The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable! We'll be back!

October 2016 - Lovely cottage, well furnished, and a perfect location! Everything was clean and well maintained. Would definitely rent here again!

May 2016 - My husband and I spent three days here and then he left and two girlfriends joined me for the remainder of the week. It is small enough for a couple and just right for a girls time away. We felt safe, enjoyed coffee time, board games and relaxing just like we were together in one of our own homes. Travel time to shopping, eating and tourist attractions was especially convenient.

December 2015 - What a great place. The house was so private and the decorated so beatifuly. It really did feel like you were in a Tree House. We brought our bikes and went for a bike ride on Crescent Beach every day. We would love to come back in the summer and would stay at Treetop again.
